    Matthew C. Aycock is a founding member and Managing Partner of the firm. Matthew grew up in a small town in East Texas. After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology from Texas A&M Texarkana, Matthew moved to the DFW area. Matthew entered the title industry in 2002 during the subprime boom. During his time as a title examiner, Matthew attended law school at Texas Wesleyan University in the evenings. After graduation, Matthew began working for LandSafe Bank of America, where he managed the licensing and compliance of default title operations throughout all 50 states. Matthew then spent a short year consulting with a startup National Title Company.  After his project was completed, Matthew and Greg Pratt started Pratt Aycock.

    Matthew is known for his ability to blend the law and sound business sense to produce results that balance legal protection, profitability, and reasonableness. Clients often praise the quality of the sound business and legal advice they receive. Clients also appreciate Matthew’s ability to connect people with those that can most help them with whatever project they are working on.

    In his spare time, Matthew enjoys baseball, golfing, and spending time with his family. Matthew is married and has three kids.

    Mr. Pratt is a co-founder of Pratt Aycock PLLC. and is currently the managing Partner of the Knoxville office. Prior to focusing his practice solely on real estate, Mr. Pratt spent 13 years as a trial lawyer handling a variety of commercial and general civil disputes for both commercial and residential lenders, builders/developers, and the manufactured-housing industry. He has extensive experience in lender litigation resulting from several years working for one of the pre-eminent real estate foreclosure firms in the county. His experience also includes several years of work for appellate advocacy in both federal and state courts. Mr. Pratt currently concentrates his practice in the areas of banking, real estate development, loan transactions and title insurance matters.

    Michael Halla graduated from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law, and afterward moved back home to Texas and worked for the City of Austin. He came to the DFW area in 2003 in order to have easier access to his family, which is important to him. After five and a half years working in the private sector, Michael decided it was time to offer clients his unique style of treating people, fighting for their interests and sharing their concerns in ways he could not if he worked for someone other than himself. Michael is admitted to practice in the states of Texas and Alabama, as well as U.S. District Courts for the Western, NOrthern and Eastern districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

    Michael’s focus and passion as a family law attorney, business law attorney and land use attorney is to deliver quality legal services at a reasonable fee.     Stephanie comes to us from a Fort Worth-based law firm, where she has been primarily engaged in providing title and curative services and general counsel to oil and gas clients, in her role as senior associate. Her experience includes drafting, reviewing and rendering hundreds of title opinions in a multitude of plays, including the Barnett Shale, the Eagleford Shale, the Permian Basis, the Marcellus Shale, and more.     Mariah Mayworm Gagnon is a native Texan, originally from Keller, Texas. Mariah earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics from the University of North Texas in Denton. Prior to attending law school, Mariah worked as a senior analyst at Fidelity Investments in Westlake, Texas. After completing her Juris Doctor at Texas Tech University School of Law, Mariah returned to the DFW area, joining Pratt Aycock in 2013.

    Andrew S. Roskind and his wife, Jodi, moved to Knoxville from San Diego after he served six years in the United States Navy. While on active duty, he received numerous awards and recognitions and was honorably discharged in 1995. After settling in East Tennessee, they became active in the Knoxville community by volunteering their time and resources to several charitable services. In 2003, they became first-time parents by adopting their oldest daughter, Lilly. Today, Andy and Jodi are outnumbered since the additions of Alexis and Grant.

    In 2001, Mr. Roskind received the Tennessee Attorney General’s Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy. Further, he has been consistently voted one of Knoxville’s top Adoption Attorneys by his peers. Mr. Roskind also serves as the Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section – an honor and responsibility he has undertaken twice in the previous five years.     Ben Wyse was born in beautiful downtown Burbank, California, and spent the first half of his childhood growing up in Studio City and North Hollywood.  There he was known by his nickname “Casey” as a professional child actor/model who appeared in television commercials, radio, movies, professional theatre and print advertising – although in none that anyone under 40 would remember at this point in time.  His family moved to Texas when he was 10 years old, and his father, Don Wyse, became an accomplished professional character actor, and his mother became the first Screen Actors Guild and Actors Equity Association talent agent in the State of Texas.

    Ben has had a varied professional life as an adult by serving in the United States Air Force, and working as an actor, a talent agent, a high school teacher, a university lecturer, and a casino croupier before entering law school.

    Ben has received diplomas from the famous Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, El Centro College (DCCCD), University of Texas at Arlington, and Texas Tech University School of Law.

    Ben is an avid reader and greatly enjoys collecting and reading books, but only in the select areas of reference books, languages, religion and apologetics, political economics and strategic forecasting, science fiction and speculative fantasy. Suzanne is a highly-respected and accomplished Vice President of Operations for a Senior Housing Corporation which is headquartered in Seattle, Washington.

    Ben has served the community as a volunteer attorney with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program with Legal Aid of North Texas, and continues to the serve the larger community as a Knight of Columbus.

    Ben has extensive knowledge of municipal law and has served as an assistant city attorney for nine home rule and general law cities and as special counsel for several other cities in litigation matters.

    Ben has also travelled extensively throughout the State of Texas as an attorney and he has appeared in over 120 counties in Texas to personally file lawsuits, obtain ex-parte and show-cause sequestration orders and conduct substitute trustee foreclosure sales.

    Now that Ben has joined Pratt Aycock, he is currently focusing on general civil litigation, business and real estate law, wills and estate planning and probate.

    Chris brings to Pratt Aycock, PLLC fifteen plus years of experience in mortgage banking, creditor’s rights, litigation, and default management experience. Chris started his career with a national mortgage lender in 2001 and quickly moved throughout the company over the following sixteen years, learning and managing various departments before settling into his legal management role. In 2009 he started back to school for his J.D. while continuing his full-time career; after graduating he continued as in-house counsel and business manager for default litigation/servicing in forty-eight states.

    Chris currently lives in Blount County with his wife, Kim and two children, Abby & Alex. He has remained active in the East Tennessee community since returning from college through his service to various non-profit organizations including his church.

    Tim Pullin is an associate attorney based in the Dallas office. Tim attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor’s Degree in International and Area Studies. While in college, he represented the Sooners as a competitive parliamentary debater and speaker throughout the United States obtaining national recognition. After college, Tim attended the Baylor University School of Law where he completed his Juris Doctor with a Degree Concentration in Business Transactions.     Susan Salamone joined Pratt Aycock in March 2017. Susan earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences from the University of Alabama. Susan later attended Loyola University New Orleans, was a member of the Loyola Law Review, and graduated in the top 7% of her class. After graduation, Susan returned to the Emerald Coast and began her legal career. Prior to joining Pratt Aycock in March 2017, Susan worked as an attorney for the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families.
